Reversing Bleepers

Reversing bleepers suddenly packed up ,but do work intermittently on my 2.2 dti cdx 02,any ideas what to check before i send to vauxhall.As a taxi i find these really usefull

Check the reverse lights are working ok would be my first check!

no reversing lights either,is it same switch on gear box for both as vauxhall guy wasnt sure,,
