hi all..........couple of quick questions.....1) where can i get a Haynes workshop manual for  2001 Omega V6 2.6 auto - 2) re, the little button on the left of gear lever (snowflake symbol) ....is it meant to be lit up at all times? mine is, and when pressed, seems to do nothing......any ideas??? - thanks

No Haynes available for this model, although most of the car is the same as pre-facelift, for which there is a manual from Haynes.

The snowflake will have a ("background")light on and when pressed it will get brighter. Makes the transmission to go on 3rd gear to help getting on the way on slippery conditions.

Snowflake = snow start.  Puts g/box into 3rd gear for "slippery" starting.
