You asked !
Engine management ECU
Transmision             ECU
ABS/TC                   ECU
Possible ABS modulator as I dont think that 2.2 has TC
Gearbox and Dif
Maybe suspension will need upgradeing as well & front disc's and calipers aswell

In theory its dead easy as the engine loom to body loom connector by the battery is a standard item/pin out and engine independent.

There will however be the need to sort out immobiliser coding and re-programming of some ecu's within th body/chassis to support teh replacement lump.....and then there is the issue of the 2.2 using a different ABS lump.

I would say changing over engine loom and ecu should solve most issues.

After that, may need a decent diags scanner to work out whats not working right, and tackle those individually

Correct, ECU completely different, hence why you need to change entire engine loom (which includes cabling to ECU)

Car loom should be the same I would have thought, so just engine loom under bonnet.

The engine has a stand alone loom that inlcudes all the sensors and wiring to the ECU etc.

This can be removed with the engine and you have a large multiplug on it that connects to the body loom plus a live feed and only one or two other bits.....
