omega dash display screen

hi all
iam a new member and would first like to say what a brilliant site this is.
the problem i have is the display screen on my car has stoped working and i have tried to obtain a second hand one with no luck. the screen is a full size colour with sat nav it has two wiring plugs one black 12 pin one grey 32 pin gm part no 09148316. does anyone have one or know where i can get one. a new one is £1500 more than i can afford. the car is a 2000 facelift v6 elite. any help would be appriecated

BBA reman do a repair service for around 180 quid.

many thanks. do you have a contact number or e-mail for them, also does the screen have to be re programed to the car?

Yes, just checking it was not after the dash has been out, sometimes they play up but sounds like yours needs a recon. Hope they sort it. Not nice with no dash warnings etc.

Sounds very much like a dead/dying Sharp LCD panel....

Yep, BBA-REMAN are the guys that can help you with this. They will probably want you to send your old unit to them for repair with a turnaround of about a fortnight as they do not have exchange units, or rather didn't have when they repaired mine at £186 with 2yr warranty. Give them a ring and ask to speak to Nigel Graham who is the tech that battled with mine and knows a source for the replacement Sharp LCD screens.

I agree with MDTM above, does sound like a failing LCD panel - got a coupke here like that.
