radio problem?
« on: 11 December 2008, 16:37:54 »

Hi guys,
Have a CCR600/CDC2 setup, which was working great, until tonight....
Went to work at 8 this morning, radio on, everything OK.
Come to go home at 4pm, put the radio on, (as usual) but display just says 'panel'?
Have tried all the usual tricks, ie, removed and refitted the panel, turned ignition 'on' & off' several times, even removed and disconnected the radio for a few moments.. but still says 'panel' the
panel and HU had not been moved/touched between this mornings trip to work, and the trip home this evening. Baffling..

Anyone got any ideas, I am musicless at the mo, and boy, is it quiet...
Am I looking at a replacement CCR600, or what.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated....pretty please... :) :)

Clean contacts on back of panel and on radio.

If that does not cure it, then re-enter radio code and it will re-initialise the panel again.

Any problems, give me a yell

Hi Dave,

Cleaned all the contacts, still nothing except 'panel'

Tried to re-enter code, but would not let me! refused to move from 'panel' message on TID.  :-?

resorted to the drastic action of removing negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes. Reconnected, still got the 'panel' message, but..
it then allowed me to input the code for the headunit, and then the CDC2. It accepted both codes, & Bingo, away we go.  :)

Really strange, as  had already disconnected the headunit multiplug for over 10 mins previously, to no avail. Yet removing the negative lead did the trick.
BUT had to re-synch the locking, windows, sunrioof, etc....But at least all well again!!

Thanks for the help, it was much appreciated.  :y
