heated seat problam

my drivers heated seat has suddenly stopped working,does anyone know what the problem could be.l.e.d still lights up as normal but no heat.

Not just me then!! Mine went a few weeks ago!! Still don't know whats best to do with it

It costs you nothing to take the seat out & have a look!  ;) Disconnect in the correct order though, or it'll cost you to reset the airbag light.  ;D  ;D  :y  :y

as its an MV6 this might be worth a try

if you have Leather with the posh extended sports thigh supports then swap that round with the passengers seat worked on myn! now Mrs TMX has the cold arse  ;D

The driver's seat heating in my '98 Elite has gone too!   :'(

The heating in the other seats still works though.

Apologies if this has already been covered but are there any simple checks that I can do to see if it's something silly that has failed? (Power connection???)

If the heater pad's not working am I right in thinking that the easiest solution is to get a replacement seat?

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Use your multi-meter to check whether you've got 12V to the seat, if so, then the likey case is the  heater pad is fubar'd.
Even if you have leather - which a dealer will say you've to replace the seat cover to repair - just put a seperate heater pad, intended for fabric seats, in under your existing seat cover.

wouldnt the air bags then be on the wrong side of the seat ÖS
