OK i'll look into that then!

Next question.... On the rear of the telematics is a 6 pin plug, is this a replication of the external handset pins on the main connector? I would have thought it must be.... wondering if a HSU1 (the privacy handset) from the old Cark-91 could be wired into this?

Sure when I looked, I could find no (Vauxhall) diagrams for that connector.

After a bit of continuity testing last night I found that all of the ext handset lines (marked hs-) terminate in a seperate plug on the loom that I have.

Cheers TB, another two to solder to the trafficmaster loom then!

How does the unit 'go to sleep' then? CAN communication with the head Unit?

Presumably, yes.

Guess the only way to tell would be to ring the telematics after the multi-timer has completed.

Mine is wired as per TIS wiring, and mine appears to partially power down after a set while - certainly goes to voicemail, and texts don't come through until I start and reverse off the drive.

The SOS functionality still works iirc (although I've removed the SOS number and OnStar number so it can't dial)

Ok, looks like it has a timer of it's own then I guess  :y

Nearly completed my loom now, just need to obtain a couple of pins so that I can route the 'Mute' and 'line in' through to the red plug (My TM loom didn't so i'm guessing if I don't wire them through then the prewired socket for the phone kit will be missing them).

I was going to terminate the mic connection with a 2.5mm socket so that the telemute lead I already have could be used to just plug into this rather than hack the prewiring (The Nokia kit uses it's own mic).

I have two wires left - KW2000 and Airbag.....

Did your nokia work with TM loom? I suspect not!

KW2000 goes to same diag line as radio, and airbag I'd need to trace (or leave disconnected - it calls number and transmits gps coords so the OnStar peeps know you've had a bump, and where it happened)

Nope, never used the TM through the Head Unit, I used a little amplifier and had it completely seperate hence I never used the TM loom (I bought the loom with an Omega style TM switch as I nicked used the TM from my Vectra).

I won't worry about the Airbag line then (I was wondering what that was for!!!!! LOL)

What pin number is the diag line on the ISO block???

Thanks!

Acknowledged, but don't have time to check diagrams for a while.

36 way TM looms don't carry through the audio/mute signal from phone prewiring to headunit, so you need to mod that (goes through Trafficmaster unit)

Yep, been trying to get a couple of connectors so I can pass those two signals on to the red connector....
