Try removing it and reseating it again (you need some radio removal tools for a double din head unit - Hellfrauds etc sell them)

had similar when re seating the dash after changeing the dash bulbs. Had to unplug the cid etc to get dash out. On re fitting, the cid did not work and only had lights on head unit. Eventually figured out i did not dis connect the battery first, so it probably thought it was being stolen.

Maybe pull head unit out, dis connect the battery re install, re connect battery(and reset windows and sun roof).
Or just try dis connecting battery for 10 mins first just to see if that saves the removal agro? Might be worth a try. Hth

Might be worth checking the mini 10 Amp fuse on the back again.

'cause it seems to be the obvious thing to check on a dead head unit.

and while checking that fuse ... check you have 12v going into it .. if you do . the problem is on the headunit side, if you don't .. the problem is a power supply problem ...

It always pays to split an electrical system down into power, unit, return (0v, earth, - call it what you will) when fault tracing. Just guessing is rarely productive.

My way is .. take of the plug into the unit, check for power in and 0v continuity out at the plug .. once those are known to be good, then the headunit will be the faulty component

IIRC it's all driven by F12 but as the display is working it doesn't seem as though that fuse has gone (I think it also drives the boot lamp and hazard warning lamps) hence why the fuse on the back of the unit seems a good option.

Think it's also worth trying the reseating again as well. When you insert the removal keys try pushing them outwards as you feed them in then try and pull the unit out with them pressed inwards.  :y
