Newquay seems always full of Beetles, I have never been stopped there - even with the rally suspension and exhaust Sunbeam

Why not just put the White Xenon LED Sidelights in, I have them in mine and they look way better than boy racer blue in my oppinion.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X-6-LED-Xenon-white-HID-look-501-W5W-sidelight-bulb-UK_W0QQitemZ220300555100QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item220300555100&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318

I also replaced all interior and door lights with them too (except the dimming interior lights). Need different type for door and rear interior lights though.

On the Alfa I had previously when I put LED sidelights in the 'Bulb Blown' warning came on all the time.

Does the Omega monitor the sidelights?

Tried them all but these are the brightest yet and no bulb failure warnings.

i have fitted police dont like them ask you to change them but never had a ticket  :y

try living in Torbay !!  Lucky if you get to the end of your drive without being stopped for things like this.

LED lighting and tinted side windows are an absolute target around here.

 :'(

hehe!  That's because at this time of the year they have nothing else to do to keep them busy! ;D ;D ;)

Same in most seaside towns that I know in the South East. :D

Sadly Lizzie, its all the year round, but then thats probably something to do with the huge Metropolitan Police training Centre in Exeter / Middlemoor being only a few miles up the road.

Yes Dave you are right!  But I remember when I was young (yes I can still remember that time! :D) I was driving my A40 down in Eastbourne 'out of season' with loads of police floating around with nothing to do as all the holiday makers (well, apart from my three friends and I) had gone home.

A bitch of a PC cruising along passes me, and promptly does a U turn.  She eventually stops me (after being immersed in my blue exhaust smoke a few time; 1 gallon of oil being burnt with each 10 gallons of petrol - valve seals / piston rings shot! :D) and her attitude was appalling.

She was raising her voice, trying to find every fault with me and my car she could all a very nasty manner.  Anyway her colleague and her found nothing at fault. In those days she could only comment about the smoke, to which I said "is there smoke....??!!", and the physical holes in the doors, wings, roof, floor could not be faulted as long as I had an MOT, which I of course did although the body and chassis was held together by newspaper and filler...another story!! ;D ;D ;).

Anyway she eventually gave up in the end and told me to be on my way.   As she walked back to her car, my female friend from South London shouted "f'cking cow!", but thank God the officer either didn't hear or had given up trying to find fault!! ;D ;D

Oh happy days in Eastbourne!! :D :D :D

I have these in my sidelights, white light, much better than standard.
Got an MOT booked next week, hope they don't get me a fail ticket.
