Advice on CCR2006 flap replacement
« on: 22 January 2009, 13:03:37 »

Hi, just a quick question for anyone 'in the know' - I have a fully functional CCR2006 head with a broken CD flap and now a donor faceplate with all flap parts present.  I clearly need to remove the unit then disassemble the front plate by removing the various star bolts before swapping the mechanism to fix the problem.

Has anyone done this before and if so would you mind telling me anything I need to watch out for?

Also, am I likely to incur a 'CDC SAFE' problem by buggering about with the internals?

Any advice would be warmly welcomed  :y

Yeh, done it plenty of times.

My advice is to study it first as there are a number of plastic clips which are easy to damage on removal.

Not to hard to do.
