CCRT700 Headunit
« on: 20 March 2009, 14:40:28 »

I'm in the process of buying a non bose CCRT700 H/U and my question is......will I still need to replace my existing display with the CCRT700 GID and if it is at all possible as my display has the yellow plug plus the small black one.

CCRT700 Will only work with a CCRT display Grey Connector  :y

its not a GID but a special CCRT700 Display that looks similar to a GID but isnt

I realise it might be a major pain but I'm up for the challenge. Is the ccrt700 non bose the same principal as the bose version?, as in it using can bus and whatever the rest of the technical jargon is? lol  :y

BOSE and NON BOSE are basically installation options on the head unit menu when configured using a Tech2 programmer in order to give the different output levels as required by either the BOSE or non BOSE systems in the car - head unit itself is the same.
