Which Multi-changer ?
« on: 02 April 2009, 21:05:55 »

Bought a Elite last night...its a 1998.

Currently has a Bose Phillips ccr800 but no multichanger in boot....all wires/connectors are there just no multi changer.

Before paying out on a changer how can i make sure its compatible.

Head unit states Bose on it and there's Bose on rear shelf and under parcel shelf yet display doesn't state Bose when turned on. :-?

Any advice would be great.... :y

All sounds normal.

Ask one of the breakers for a CDC2 - they will know which one (of the 2 CDC2s fitted to prefacelift omegas) that you need

On a CCR800 (which I reckon is the best sounding of the Bose compatible HU), all plug and play

Its possible, bit of work involved. The one thing that I don't think is possible is SDVC, as ccrt700 gets this via CAN (I thought from Display, but I never got it working) rather than speed pulses like all the others.  Only gain is a integrated phone and a nicer (imho) display.

Ive really got too get back side in gear and get some sort of phone installed....keep saying just dont find the time too get someone too plum one in,like the idea of phone hidden away in radio.

Ive noticed SDVC on the sat nav....didnt click on it for fear of buggering it up as still in process of working out how it works.

Speed Dependent Volume Control - how much the radio gets louder based on speed. (Actually, its how much it attenuates as you go slower, but thats splitting hairs)
