I bought her a rose once in a pub in Oxford (she was with me), as I fancied the bird who was selling them.  Tight leather ::)

I was in a pub with the then yet to be Mrs Golfbuddy when the bird selling the roses came round.

I came out with the classic line, 'You don't want a rose do you?'.
