Bose set up.
« on: 17 September 2008, 00:13:06 »

Hi all ive got the standard ccrt 700 set up and am thnking of converting it to the bose set up. Can i change the head unit to bose with tech 2. Ive been offered the amp & speakers. Can i use the original loom or do i have to change that as well. If so how big a job is it and is it worth it. Is there much difference between bose & standard. Thanks.

I have 3 or 4 sets of speakers and 2 or 3 amps here, could have sent you it with your other stuff lol

Not 100% sure but I think that the CCRT700 can be set to Bose or not as you say using Tech2 so yeah think you would be able to use the current loom as presumably its already there for Bose set up if needed...so amp and speakers (again assuming the loom is there) plus the shelf of course!!

ccrt700 can be set to bose via tech2.

you will need bose loom from kick panel to boot, easy to fit though :y

If the CCRT700 was factory fit originally, then it is possible, if the idiot knows how.

If its not factory fit, and has been retro fitted, it becomes a little more complex

CCR2006 I think you mean.

Be aware that not all CCR2006 are configurable for Bose.

Amp sits in a tray (in saloon) under parcel shelf, bose sub speakers are mounted to shelf (will need drilling on a facelift). All other speakers need to be replaced, which means doorcards off.

To get amp shelf and speakers fitted, the carpet bit of rear shelf has to come out, which means seats out, possibly C pillar trims.
