Fault CD SAFE

My omega is fitted with a ccr 2006.I have been reading about the fault  CD  SAFE,I wonder if I was to disable the code,does this mean the fault could not occur.Thanks

Nope, the CDC has corrupted its eprom. Very common fault on the CCR2006 unit.

Very few people can repair this problem, one of whom is Dave DND (a member here), who I'm sure will pop up a link to his repair shop :)

Thanks for reply.Iwill explain,my ccr2006 works perfect,but was curious to find out that if I disabled the code,would it stop the fault ever occuring?  Thanks
