Does anybody have a detailed drawing of the heater elements within the recaro sport seats?
Some time ago I bought a replacement base heater pad(90563434)but this has been sat in shed for sometime.I have now started thinking about cold winter mornings and even colder rearends and have decided to rty and get some heat back to drivers seat.
Upon closer inspection the mat seems onlt to have 1 electrical connecter with a white 3 pin plug and also only seems to have a heater wire around the outer edge,so can,t see it providing much heat if any.It seems odd as everybody states that the base and back elements are wired parellel so how does this connect to the back and get power?,or does the back get the power firts and then the base is feed off it.
A drawing would be really helpfull if one exists.

They are definitely in series with each other.

So assume the connecter under the seat must take the plug from both the back and base elements seperately,as said the base pad only has 1 connecter with a 3 pin plug.

It's a long time since I looked at mine, but I thought there were 2 plugs :-/. Is the replacement pad designed to be wired the same as OE?

Unsure as I have not ventured under seat yet,but the replacement heater mat(which is a genuine GM  part)is just a white fabric section with a single 3 core wire coming from it with a white 3 pin socket on the end.This wire attaches to the heater mat at a small black block and the metal element just appears to run around the edge of the mat not across it,so hence why I thought it would struggle to get warm let alone hot.
I will remove the plug from below the seat in the morning and plug in the new mat,which in theory should create the unbroken circuit,assuming the existing base heater pad is the bit that is bust,then take it from there and see if I feel up to stripping down the entire seat.
