Radio
« on: 24 June 2009, 02:28:36 »

Hello to all,
here I am again with another problem.  :(
I hope that you could help me on this, please.
The battery of my car was discharged and I with the help of another veicule conected cables to give him a start.
I think all components are ok but there's one thing that's not, the radio.
I press the power button to turn on the radio and it doesn't work, the only thing that happens is a message on the information display with the word "safe".
Have someone had similar problem? If so, how do you managed it?
Any sugestion, opinion or critic is welcome.
Thanks in advance for any reply and sorry for any english mistake.

SAFE without a number to the left means that you are trying to enter teh code number without having first turned on the ignition.

You do not say which radio you have, so can only offer these generic instructions

Code Entry as Follows:
Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps

Its normal after disconnecting/discharging battery, its just your anti-theft system. Its just waiting for you to put your 4-digit code in.

My Omega is a my00.
Is radio is similar of the one on the link below:

The only diference is that my radio has direct entrance to a K7 and right below the K7 it has a litle drawer/box to put 4 CD's.

Sorry, MY00 and K7 mean nothing to me, I`m not am Omega owner, just a resident audio technical expert.

What would mean something to me though, is the model number screen printed on the front of the fascia of the stereo fitted in your own car.

I think I already have the designation of the radio that is on my Omega.
It's a Philips CCR 2006.
Could you please help me?
Thanks in advance.
