Hi all,
I've had my red '02 CD 2.6 V6 for just over a week now and I'm starting to get to grips with it. No major issues, just a couple of little things, but I'll post them elsewhere.
One question I have though - I've got a Motorola HF850 Bluetooth kit (they are now going for as little as £19.95 on eBay) - my wife has been using one for some time now, and they look pretty good. My Omega already has a Nokia car kit, but it has been fitted badly in my opinion - it uses a tax disc aerial, no radio mute, they have drilled the console, and it is powered from the auxiliary power line. Now I know that my Omega is one of the models with telephone prewiring, as it is the right age, has the antenna on the back, and there is the 18 pin VDA connector behind the glovebox. I used to fit PMR equipment to cars back in the days of the Senator, so I'm okay working on car wiring looms - The Motorola connections are subtly different to the Nokia kits, so I'll have to modify an adaptor lead or make up my own. My question is - I've been reading about this extra relay and/or transformer that is required by some models - can anyone tell me if mine would already have that fitted, or would I need to get one - and if so, where does it go? - the stereo unit is the 2005 single slot CD player.
Thanks in advance, Glenn
