ive thought about it for a few weeks i think i mentioned it in another post So ive just been to see the nurse at the docs and my blood pressure is 160 over102 which is not good so i cant stop just yet
unless i stop with out the patches etc

Seriously ..... good luck with it. It's been one the hardest things I ever did. I used Zyban 6 years ago, but I'm sure you won't be allowed to use that method if you have high-ish blood preassure.

Have you thought about the lozenges.  I dont know if you can take them with high blood pressure but they work very well, I can vouch for them

My other half is currently in the process of giving up. She's reading a book by a guy called Alan Carr and reckons it's the best thing ever. The power of suggestion and all that:

If your blood pressure is too high to use the patches, might be worth an alternative like this. Especially since you can buy it for about £5 inc P&P.

hes great i have read his book made me stop for a couple of weeks with nothing......then went through a bad spell im currently read the womans version of the book. i WILL do it this time round!!

i tried to stop smoking for 25 years,finally cracked it in may 2000 with the help of nicotine gum trouble is i got addicted to the gum and have been chewing it ever since.costs me far more than smoking and swmbo is nagging me to death quicker than the cigs would have done.
