Ho old is your 'new' car? If it's an earlier car than the the TC is next to the radio (left of) later MINI facelift (still prefacelift) cars - radio controls on the steering wheel - the TC is on the row above - next to ECO ???
and I've no idea where it should be on a later facelift car  ;D  ;D

If your car is the mini facelift, then the space to the leftof the stereo is for the sat-nav screen when fitted. Your TC should be above, and being a mini facelift is the least common switch.  :(

Have alook through this blokes site (I'm sure someone will recognise his car  ::)) and you'll find a picture of the centre console (it won't allow me to right click  ;)) and you'll see a picture of the switches & the space to the left of the radio  :y

Depends on how brutal the techs were!  Either side cutters through the wiring and taped up or switch removed.  Dash area then reassigned to an alternate purpose - vascar, force radio or whatever - and bits removed at decommissioning and subsequent sale to Joseph E. Public......

Doubt it . . .  Plod never modify these properly - always a bodge in there somewhere. If you think that your car was modified "carefully" instead of with tape and cutters, then your car is very unique and unlike any other plod car here on Oof.

The belief that police mechanics are careful, is somewhat of a myth, as described by some former police members here.

I don't think it's the mechanics (it seems that most maintenance work is farmed out these days - my local dealer has loads of Police cars on their forecourt waiting for/been through service) that's the problem. It's the 'One careful owner' that's te problem. The local dealer's part's lads say that Plod can get through £1000's worth of DM flywheel in no time!  ::)  ::) Dropping the clutch is easy when some oneelse will pick up the tab!   :-?  :-?

No doubt they farm it off to the cheapest out source contract they can find  :(

Remember seeing on Road Wars an Omega got a light impact on front, and they said they only just got i back, so i can believe it.

I look forward to targeted EMP's which can take out the scumbags  8-)
