bulbs
« on: 29 December 2009, 08:50:41 »

Hello everyone just joined the forum, its great and so full of stuff to learn. Just a quickie , had my car a few weeks now and want to change main beam bulbs. There must be a way without removing whole lights or battery etc as my hands can't get in the little space available. Any help would be great. Once again have to say forum is good as i have converted from a 2.5 mondeo ghia x to an omega 2.6 cdx estate and the mondeo forum was not quite as good as this.

Hello & Welcome.

When ive changed them before, ive moved the airbox or battery

some people have gone the other way and removed the headlights themselves.

Airbox comes out easy enough, and loosen the battery support, and you should be able to slide it enough to get access.

Cheers for that thought it was just me being too fat-handed to get in a small gap, still not very easy might get the other half to get her little hands in.

I can do indicators and sidelights with nothing removed, but needed more room to change the biggies  :y

Agreed - and I haven't got small hands.
