that only stops the door from being open from inside.

Isn't there some way of resetting the locks like you can with the sunroof?
I'm assuming you have total closure, so I'm assuming there can be a way!

no sun roof is only one as windows, but some times the central locking can get confused if the door on half are locked and others are open so thinks there is a fault.

There is no reset procedure for central locking, but thats not to say the system cannot get confused or stuck

Try turning the key in the drivers door few times, and lock/unlock a few times --

Do any doors operate with the central locking, and do the rears kick in after a few goes - if not try pulling the rear door lock plungers upwards and try again.

OK, now try turing the key in the boot to make sure it is not deadlocked and repeat the above procedure

The door that is not working sounds like you may have a stuck solenoid or lock - a bit of WD40 and some jiggling of the plunger may assist

The boot locks don't actually deadlock, but you can select whether you want it to lock with the central locking or not. The lock can be horizontal or vertical, can't remember now which is which & I'm at work so can't look in the handbook  ;)
