Bose
« on: 20 January 2010, 09:48:11 »

The Elite is to be stripped out, so might as well fit some of the goodies to the MV6, and was wondering how difficult the Bose and phone systems would be to transfer.
Any ideas?

Elite - 2.5 2000 facelift
MV6 - 2.6 2001 facelift

do-able.  loom from headunit to kick panel is the killer, as mv6 won't have it, and probably to hard to rmove from elite.  loom from kick panel back is easy enough to retrofit to mv6.

Ta for that - doesn't seem over-difficult!

Is that a stand-alone loom strictly for the phone and Bose? Any idea where the phone aeriel is?

Speakers
As TB says, hardest bit is the HU - kick panel loom as MV6 (and the CD estate i've been looking at!) don't terminate in the correct plug.  :(

Both estates!
Screen - plugs different? I prefer the Elite screen TBH.

Cheers guys - not the hardest of jobs, but likely to give me some grief!!! :o
I think I'll just upgrade my speakers and sling my 10" sub and amp in to be honest.

Please don't  tell me there's no outputs at the back of the HU in the MV6!!!
