Hi all ! Has anyone ever had the problem when you turn the ignition off and about 20mins later the radio comes on on its own? If you turn ignition on and of so radion goes  of then 20mins later its back on again.
If however you just turn radio of it stays off.
Help this is crazy

No, but my CCR2006 refused to turn off the other day. Luckily, I noticed that the MID was still powered up as I was getting out of the car. Radio had muted and refused to respond to any controls, ignition back on made no difference. It appeared to be stuck in limbo between on and off.

Left it 15 mins and still the same so pulled the fuse on it. Then it sorted itself out but lost all the memories.

I say luckily because it left my amplifier powered, which takes over 1 amp when silent, so the battery would have been flat in short order. >:(

Not uncommon for a short circuit aerial booster to cause that one, or knackered aerial on later Vauxhalls - but could even be a faulty on/off switch.

However, in response to original question, some model numbers would be usefull

Hi have changed for different radio head unit and tried and it still does the same so that will discount the on/off switch

check the electric aerial feed at the rear of the radio with the ignition on and radio off to see if 12V is present

i had th same problem the other week with my cdr2005

This was certainly a "bug" in the radio. Wouldn't respond to any buttons, no sound, no display on the MID but still powered up, and recovered immediately when I disconnected permanent 12v and reinstated it. Very odd.

You will need to measure this voltage at the rear of the radio using a multimeter
