rear blind cables / switch

can anyone confirm the cables are easy to get to in boot / on console ?
 and can you modify a saloon with no blind to one with blind ?
 seen used parcel shelves with blinds on fleebay ? £35 ?
 i have an cdx 2000 facelift              thanks in advance

Yes the blind from any Omega will fit any other Omega. The wiring should all be in place. The only exception maybe some GLS models may be missing the wiring.

And the plug and socket at the rear has changed on later models. Although it is only 3 wires so very easy to join with some choc block connector.

Done it myself twice now.

Switch just needs fitting on dash, prise out blank, fit switch.
Wiring under parcel shelf is on passenger side, shoud be visible from the boot.

Just fitted a prefacelift (different plug) Bose / rear blind shelf in my facelift Elite.

I cut off the original connectors and soldered in an XLR plug and socket which seemed to be the neatest solution. Word of warning though.... Pull fuse 20 (double check that one, sure it was 20) before you start soldering / making connections.
