Bose security

Just bought an elite with Bose stereo and battery has been dead and car been standing for over a year and the guy who owned it can't fine the code for stereo.what do I do!!I've not got the card with code on either!please help!

what age is the car? Because thats quite important, facelifts which have NCDCxxxx don't need codes

Ok took it out it's a ccr700 with phone and changer in boot.hth!

Long shot but has a previous owner put the code on the radio chassis?

Contact Dave DND - he can decode them from the serial number for a small fee.

Great!does it matter it's in safe mode?I'm guessing now code been tried to many times?not by me!am happy to pay and will do it in a min if it's goin to work!

What are you calling "SAFE"mode ?

Have you used up all of your attempts by inputting wrong numbers? If so, expect a very hefty bill - or have you simply omitted to turn the ignition on and follow the correct code entry sequence?

SAFE with  no number means it is not seeing the ignition feed - I`d be checking round the back of the radio with a meter if you have already tried turning the ignition key

Well car battery is dead as car been sitting and needs a new one so I can only do it when on leads,would this cause it?
