TC switch
« on: 06 May 2010, 23:26:53 »

Hi

I was just interested to know whether the TC switch to the side of my stereo can be disconnected and moved to one on the main switch area above the stereo if I have the relevant button? Its so I can gain back the space next to the stereo. Both cars are 98/R its just the old one has sat nav where my TC switch resides. Not gonna bother moving the Phillips sat nav.

Thx

Could be wrong, but cant see a problem if the aperture is the same size, and IIRC the wiring plug behind should just pull out and be refitted to the other aperture, may be a bit tedious though with the amount of wires behind there. ;)

Yes - I moved mine to fit the CARiN satnav screen.

You have to simply remove the connectors out of the existing connector block (fiddly), and reinsert in the connector in the new spot, just to left of drivers heated seat switch (IIRC)
