towbar wireing

hi all,fitted towbar today to my 2002 cd saloon,will i need  a bypass relay for it,or can you buy a plug in kit for it :question,have seen the relays for as cheap as £14 any help would be welcome.

I'm pretty sure you can buy a plug in kit IIRC someone posted a link to a 3rd party supplier. You do not need bypass relays, but if you use a plug in kit or the plug behind the boot trim panel your brake lights won't work directly because they're fed from a trailer check control 'relay' up behind your glove box.  :y
