I can't believe this

This lot seem to be able to let you buy a driving licence without taking a test or anything. Surely it can't be legal, but would explain the standards of driving we see these days.

Only had a quick look but it appears legit-ish....  Making full use of the not fully integrated licence structure between member states to exploit loopholes and existing bad practice...

Sad but probably quite true....

You seen how much profit they are making from a couple of second class stamps??

So for the price of a dozen or so driving lessons you can have a full licence for car, bike, class 1 and psv?
Madness.

 ;D

I like this bit....

It is your legal right to hold any member countrys' E.U. driving licence. Ideally, you should be driving on a licence that is issued in a different E.U. country to the country in which you are resident and driving for a number of reasons. The main reason is to make it more difficult for the authorities to log a permanent record of your driving licence and driving history should you be prosecuted for driving offences.

In other words, smoke and mirrors.  A bit like the company thats doing tha 'arranging'.

So one of these dodgy licences, some foreign plates on the miggy and speed cameras, road tax, insurance and parking fines become a thing of the past?

So technically, if someone had their UK licence taken from them (disqualified), they could apply to this lot and get back on the road?

I hope this does not get out to the dangerous, drunk, drug drivers.

I understand some people can make mistakes, but this could prove very dangerous.

Not very prominent it does however point out on that site ...

If you have a driving ban from your country, the fact that you have a licence from another country will not give you the right to exchange or even drive in the country you have been banned from.

but the chances of being caught .........  :(

Think about it from a practical point of view.....

You are a real deal standard UK citizen from Glasgow/Manchester/Cardiff/Belfast/whatever and get a ban.....

You then apply via this company and get a 'licence' from Uzbeckistan or some other near relation EEC contry and then drive about, oblivious to potential jail....

.... and get stopped one day by the Police....

Picture the scene...

You, a fluent english speaker (OK, Glaswegian...  :D) are claiming to be a recent emigrant from Poland/Chez Republic with a licence from said country.

Fast forward to, oh, 30 seconds later and you try to scratch your nose when your hands are cuffed behind you and are en route to your local copshop for a livescan fingerprint scan to verify your true ID prior to jail.....

OK, a tad far fetched but, yes, someone of suitable ethnic origin can and probably will use such a method to get a driving licence of sorts.  Its just not suitable for all.....

Bring back real trafpol, rather than Talivans, says I!!   ;)

Very true, I am merely thinking out loud as to what some people could try and do.

TBH, if they do this, and your scenario happens, they get caught and deserve all they get, if not more!

OK, I'm off my soapbox now. :)
