I'm sure you have some rights, esp if you have been employed in your current position for over 2 years. You can of course keep looking for alternative employment, and with no contract, can prob walk at a moments notice, and join a competitor, and they can do squat about it. My new job is with a start up, and they gave me one of those contracts that stops you working in the same field for 6 months, starting alternative businesses etc. I pointed out that this was a generic contract and was not acceptable in its current form, and so I haven't signed anything. If the place folds in a few months, I am free to do what I want. Unfortunately these days its a bit dog eat dog, so look out for your self.  :y

With 20years service, and a decent redundancy package (which they keep denying me), I'm going to try to hang on for a payout ;).

There's a post in another thread about making an honest answer to a boss question ......

No result is given but reading between the lines the answer may not have been what the boss wanted ....  :(

I await confirmation of my interpretation ..  :)

:)I'm gonna stick my neck out here & say yeah, why not? He puts alot into the forum, dishes it out but never moans when he gets it back!!!
I can relate to that coz i'm a gobby winker as well. I've met him twice now & he's been helpful & friendly & a good laugh. Granted he's silly & puts his foot in it sometimes (so do i) on here & @ home!
I like the bloke & if the powers that be want to "promote" him that's fine by me.
I hereby submit my subscription to the Loo Knee party!!!!! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] ::) :D :y

Careful, Guy!
2030 posts is a lot to lose all in one go.
I'm guessing admins can keep an eye on mods so to speak. We have & need our responsible seniors to run the site but now it's established it might be time to introduce another element from the Massive.
It'll either work or it won't but it's worth a go.
As regards my post count, i would'nt wanna lose 'em but, tell you what, i'll swap 'em for Daz being promoted if i have too.
I can do without 'til i build 'em up again!!!!!!!!! :D
