Sounds like you need to check all the fuses for starters. :y

if you get in touch with lee (wellung666) he can advise you on how to pull wires through from top glovebox as he did with myself enabling radio to sit much better, hope that helps :)

You get one of these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUTOLEADS-VAUXHALL-COMBO-CD-RADIO-FASCIA-FACIA-ADAPTOR-/370371941734?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_FasciaPlates_SM&hash=item563be35566

or these
 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-CORSA-VECTRA-RADIO-FASCIA-FACE-PLATE-ADAPTOR-/320532139679?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_FasciaPlates_SM&hash=item4aa1344e9f

As to getting the radio in fully, I seem to remember just pushing it in and waggling about till it fitted. It might be the plug hitting something.

My pre-facelift put up a bit of a struggle when I tried to fit a Pioneer stereo in to it. The Omega has a lot of 'stuff' to fit onto, and behind, the dash board and it doesn't leave much room for non standard additions.

Usually you will find an extra section attached to the stereo loom that can be unplugged and disposed of, this allows more room to push home the new stereo...
