key fob batterys

hi can anyone help i fitted new battery to key of my 99 mv6 it wont work central locking with button anymore and sets alarm off when i open manually...is there a way to reset key?

Yes, easy one to do and more importantly... FREE ;)

Key in, turn to red lights, press lock button. Doors should lock then unlock 1 second later. Job done ;) :y
