Flickering facelift climate panel
« on: 06 November 2010, 15:59:49 »

3-4 times now, with headlights on, all the lighting flickers on the climate panel.

pushed it in, no change, not looked any further.

anyone seen this before, any ideas?

I used to find this if I turned the panel illumination down to minimum - one smidgen up and it was fine.

Hope this helps

Took mine out a while ago because it was a lot dimmer than normal, the digits are a fluorescent tube and the switch lights are pcb mount leds, didn't tell me much but I assume there's some sort of electronic dimmer built in it that's fed from the overall dash dimmer so not much I could do, replacement unit from the Bay in the end, been fine ever since.

Got one here with the buttons all worn. Welcome to it for postage cost. If it cures the problem just a question of replacing buttons with yours :y

Really?  Thought estate /  saloon had different configs, I Know they did in prefacelift days.  Not looked into facelift at all.

Facelift, there is no saloon/estate config - the system is clever enough to accomodate it :y

I too have a spare one here (probably with latest software on, seeing as it came from Goldie), but again one of the buttons worn.

If in no hurry, I need to see DTM soon, no idea if it will be this side of xmas though ;D
