Interior Light Upgrade
« on: 18 December 2010, 14:33:35 »

Didn,t realise just how poor the light from my interior light was until I had to spend over 1.5 hours on M20 the other night in traffic ,due to lorry fire.

Standard Elite interior light..both little "bug eye "lights seem to give fair light but main interior operated by haedlight switch is crap..any suggested bulb upgrades possible ?

Thanks for info..never realised ther were 5 bulbs in interior light or do you mean a 5 led bulb.?

Assume standard festoon type for interior and bayonet for "bug eyes".

Will have a look on fleabay and see what is on offer.

Yep .see what you mean now...I was just thinking about the front interior light but suppose could do the rear handle grip lights and boot aswell.

Are they all the same size festoon bulb then ?

The two festoons at the back are the same  :) but I doubt you'd get those 9 led push-in 'bulbs' in due to their overall length.

you can use the ones with less than 9 leds.. those were just an example. interior lighting is done with w5w or c5w light bulbs

Heres another option if you dont fancy the expense of the LEDs or even if your not a fan of LEDs
