CID idenification
« on: 18 April 2011, 18:06:08 »

i have looked on the FAQ section.  Seems I have a CID but not getting any full colour maps. Is there only one type? . Model   is 2000 facelift Elite & screen is full size. When not using sound system or sat nav screen has Colour VX logo & Bose logo showing.

Is this the CID  ?

Sorry guys,  not much good with all this electronic stuff. :-[ :-[ :-[

Any help greatly appriciated  :y :y

Is the 12Pin plug plugged in on the rear of the screen? That's the usual reason for no maps.

Sorry to jump in, but if you unplug the display (gid in my case) to remove the binnacle, does any procedure have to be followed for it to work again ? I had mine out today (in the breaker) and when I put it back there is no display and no sound. The head unit is working, but nothing else seems to. It may be unconnected as I have removed /unplugged a lot of electrical items recently, so I may have disturbed something without realising. :-/

not a clue me on this stuff really - so glad this forum is here :-[ :-[ :-[

Sat nav seems to work as it did my old mini facelift elite

But lets hope it's the 12 pin plug - took dash out on old car -so should be OK :D :D :D

Apologies  if this question is stupid -- but i just don't Know  ::) ::) ::)

Is the 36 Way ISO lead pushed fully home? They can become detached from the cage.

CID fully working but no map display is the 12 pin plug as VXL V6 says.

CID with a permenent white screen, irrespective of function, is a shagged CID
