Well let the kids get something from the car last night and they left the interior light on, Low and behold flat battery this morning no probs started first turn with jumper pack the only issue now is the radio displays SAFE have tried all that is says in the book but safe will not go so i can put the code in Any ideas or is it f****d ??

You need to turn the radio off...put key to ignition position 2...then press the AS button and hold it down while turning on the radio...should then allow you to enter the code once the radio comes on...

Tried that nothing just says safe held the button in until finger aches but it will not move from safe, even took the radio out and put it back in nothing still !!!!

     

On the plus side it has just passed it mot today yipeeeeeee

SAFE on its own with no number means you are not following the instructions.

Igntion On BEFORE the radio is turned on.

IT WORKS i left it on for ab out 1.5hrs as per link instructions then followed the steps again and it now works thanks dave great help mate saved me a new radio.
