Non Hid to Hid
« on: 02 August 2011, 11:10:52 »

Right, i obviously want to upgrade my headlights from the standard lights to Hids (preferably, GM original units from the mini f/l)
I was going to have Tezrays 'projectors' but obviously when i realised they were hids, i stopped as i dont really have too much time on my hands due to work and missus commitments lol.
How much work would it take for me to put f/l hids into my elite?

F/L headlights are a different shape but will fit with a bit of trimming here and there. You will need the trim panels that fill the gap between the headlights and thee bumper though, because the F/L headlights come to a point whereas the earlier ones are curved.

Have a look at pictures of cars in the Gallery and you'll see what I mean.

I have a set of the trim panels available if you want them!  :y

You don`t. As you`ve already got them fitted, just a matter or retrofitting the lights as per my link. As for "aftermarket" kits, they are most likely to be made an MOT failure beginning of 2012
