arial wire??

Hi dose any one know were the wire go's from head unit to the amp, found the joint at back but cannot figger out how to take it off and dont know how the wire gets from frunt to back, is it along pass side innercil or roof line??? as need to change the wire as snaped some were thanks.

I assume you mean the aerial amp to the radio in the dash?

It goes from the parcel shelf, down the pass side cill - under the trim cover to a coax joint connector in the pass side footwell.

ahh right thanks joint is in the rear light cluster on pas side, so there is another joint in the foot well, will have to find that one save me a load of time  thanks :y

Drivers side is for the mobile fone aerial IIRC

found the fault it was the rubber on the boot lid, changed the hole wire from the rear back light pass side to the amp in the boot lid now working fine :y

Indeed, me too.  Wonder if estates are different  :-/

Estate's are also down the drivers side and it does not go through the bootlid or via any rear lights, i'm guessing if the car is a little 'rusty' then someone may have re-routed it.  ::)

joint at post A from radio vauxhall taped up, along cill inside to the rear joint to the rear pass side light cluster. then from the light cluster joint up C post to rubber into the boot lid then across to the arial amp box. all way along vauxhall taped..... all so wire cluster red white strip wire is for the power to the amp and thick black wire...
