headlight washers
« on: 19 September 2011, 21:20:23 »

hi yesterday i put a question on about headlight washers and received an answer.....so today i put the relay and fuse in under the bonett in the fuse box....but when i went to insert a fuse in the cab fuse box number 26...there is no fuse in there and when i put a fuse in it just fell out again..on closer inspection there are no metal contacts in number 26 at all so cant get the fuse to make contact and stay in.......any suggestions please....

Have you tried the washers with the headlights on. Does the washer pump work, is there 12v going to it. Have you put 12v direct to pump

ok  today i took on board  ROBGs  advice from earlier and tested the wiring to the head lamp washer motor all was ok.....then took a live feed from battery direct to motor that worked...so on inspection of the wiring plug to the motor noticed it was very green.so cleaned up the terminals on wire lead and in the motor put it back together ..tried it and got soaking wet...so all is ok now...thank you ROBG you are a gent....
