LPG question, quick answer needed please
« on: 27 February 2008, 12:15:41 »

I may have a chance of an LPG sytem, but, it is fitted to a V6 ford at present. Now are all kit's the same and would it be possible to transfer it to my omega? I know all the parts are there incl the tank but unsure which system it is. It is going to be very cheep and wondered if it is a feasable purchace?
Any answers ASAP would be gladly welcome

Thanks in advance, Jez

what's the make / model of the kit? Mixer or SGi?

If it's mixer, don't touch it. And to meet current regs, the tank needs to have an electronic soleniod shut off on the tank valve...

mixers do give more issues than an SGi system.

if the tank doesn't have a shut off valve, don't dispair, you will need to purchase a new sender that has one fitted, you can factor that into the price negotiations  :y

for that sort of money mate i would have thought it was a mixer system and would have needed the tank sender changing as well.
