Ohhhh.......nice tractor!

Sorry, sad moment again...
;D You REALLY aren`t getting out enough!  ;D

I quite fancy an old tractor....would love a field marshall but, a little out of my price range  :o

A Fordson Major Diesel would be good.........could start it up nice and early on a Sunday morning  ;D

I think TB rather fancies a Thwaites dumper truck but, hes got his tractor instead for the moment!
I knew you were secretly jealous of my tractor ;D

The Thwaites Dumper, I guess I must have mentioned that before  ::)

There you go....

Super useful as its got a digger attachment.

I have fond memories of the 'bean can peppered by a shot gun' type exhaust on them with the hand crank start!

I have driven a few miles on a Thwaits 4WD 2 cylinder Lister powered dumper truck

Used to keep it at Toddington and I had to drive 2 miles north, went to Broadway on it once. Used to fill the dumper with comunity programme workers, and tools.

I took another 4WD dumper with centre pivot steering to Winchcombe that was slower and also the track bed was bumpier in that direction.

The interview was funny

"Ah Martin" first words - 3 or 4 of us were on the scheme, including the centre pivot dump trucks owner as a chargehand.

I got to drive the dumpers and play with the strimmers, also learnt how to use a chainsaw.

The thickos got the slashers (pole with sharp blade), I suppose the scheme had around 35 people. Bankrupt ex publican I think was involved, some people at threat of dole money being pulled, 3 or 4 paid up unemployed members, and a few railway enthusiasts, one friend I made went on to drive for BR.

Will find the B&W prints I did

Or it may have been a Benford - anyone know any sites of 1970s plant?

Well it was a 13bhp Lister twin, metal seat, 4WD rear wheel steer 3 speed & reverse gearbox, manual tipping, hydraulic discs on front axle only, painted yellow.

THe centre pivot not sure but it was pale green
