I-POD MP3 PLAYER

I need some info please pros and cons of them both (I don't know a thing about them ) Any advice appreciated

i used to have a nano but you dont get much for your money. I recommend the sony walkman mp3.
They are good though, id still have one, i think they looks nice aswell

For a kid, i would get an ipod because my sons mates all have one and there the thing to have at the moment so i would get the ipod for yur kid.

Creative Zen, THe Sonys, whatever you do read some reviews.

And try them out, some Sennheiser PX headphones are worth getting too.

I'm sticking with my MD Walkman, 1GB discs, or use a normal MD of which I have loads

A little history of the Walkmans.

Sony originaly thought MD was it, to be honest it was good at what it did, then hard disk players appeared, also MD never took off in EUrope as much as Japan, the first Sony HD Walkmans are basically MD Walkmans with HDD rather than MD, the next versions added such things as mp3 and other formats. The NW HD5 was a classic but out of production for about 18 months - if I wanted one it is what I would have bought, they replaced with A3000 I think, but are now all flash memory.

The Creatives are easy to use and can be used as a USB hard drive as well.
