Smoking has always been unhealthy, we know that & always have done. Personally i'd rather be with a girl who likes a smoke, getting p*ssed & having a laugh. You healthy people can sit around not smoking or doing anything else, eat your cous cous & play holier than though over the rest of us. Fine but keep it to yourselves. When do you hear a meat eater or a smoker preaching to a veggie or non smoker to change their ways? I know that's not what anyone on this thread meant but i hear it all the time on TV/Radio. Many non smokers / veggies would love a smoke & a bacon sarnie really so we all make our choices. Sorry that's approaching a RANT but let us die a few years earlier if we choose to. I like smoking & drinking, rather that than 5 yrs in a rest home. ::)

I seem to have been offensive :(

Strangely I am a Vegetarian....     I'm just a stereotypical anti smoking, meat paranoid....  Red wine's OK though, don't truly care about smoking, would just prefer that Vicky wasn't a chain smoker, don't mind 2 B&H / hour... it's just that chain smoking thing... having had a few close people die of lung cancer...

Anyway, once again sorry to offend.

Can we get back to KEELEY HAWES now please :D :D :D :D :D

Oi I pick on veggies and teatotallers.

I resent being thought of as holier than thou just because I dislike smoking.

There is a huge difference between moderatly healthy and wasting yourself.

I do like drinking but I don't like getting too drunk - I hate hangovers. But then I think binge drinkers are stupid.

As to healthy eating, what is unhealthy about a nice piece of well hung steak from a butchers cooked on a barbeque?

Dunno - looks scarey on AtoA but better in that other picture.

I reckon some of the women on SciFi shows are pretty good to look at.

No point in drinking so much you lose consiousness or do not remember what you did, it is very scarey.

Did say i was'nt referring to anyone personally on here but am tired of being lectured to by the media, radio tv etc about what we should & should'nt do, NHS witholding treatment if i smoke or get fat etc. Can i not pay my N.Ins then? no they still want that. Yes i might need more healthcare a few years earlier but i'll die before i'm at the stage i'm kept "alive" on a machine for years wasting money & space being fed & wiped! Who wants to finish off like that?
Anyway no offence meant but it's my choice to enjoy my bad habits for a shorter time. I admit i wish i could be happy leading a healthier life but i'd be bored & craving the "wrong things"!!! :y

What really pi55es me off about the highlighted bit...  if you don't have sufficient saving you have to sell your home to cover costs...

Been working in a really posh bit of Stoke today... the odd TV star has been in residence in the past.. One of my colleagues's mother in law owned one of these houses, not much short of 3/4 million at present...  she became old and infirm, had to be sold for a small amout at auction to cover costs...

What about Keeley Hawes :question

Just looked up, she's on TV :) :) :) :) :) :-[

I think we're totally missing the point here.
This post was about what we fancy & don't fancy.
I'm personally with Martin, we was expressing what we like & dislike (smoking, not smokers)
So in a nut shell, Martin & i don't fancy ladies that smoke.
Nothing about what people do with their own lives was mentioned.
I personally wouldn't care if the whole of Britain started smoking, so long as they don't blow it my way.
I to don't drink alot (two cans & i'm happy), but if others wana get totalled that's their concern & certainly NOT mine.
I also love meat, but in moderation.
My philosophy is look after your body it's gotta last you a life time
