you should try getting on the underground, most ignorant tinkers you can get, mainly penpushers who insist you read there newspaper, idiots who have there earplugs in full volume and worse is people who wont move when your sardined trying to get off, i find shoving everyone forward usually helps, ive had so many rows on the central line, even booted some bloke off once who would not move at all.
i avoid working in london as much as poss now

I work in Holborn and get the central line EVERY DAY. It's the worst part of my journey and people are SO rude.

I drive tto Canary Wharf, get the DLR to Bank, Central Line to Holborn then Piccadilly line to Arsenal so i get that crap most days! Luckily this job is only 30 weeks, hopefully the next one will be easier to get to, if i could park in Highbury i would much rather drive allthe way!

Wouldn't it be easier to drive somewhere closer? I.e. not the other side of the city! :P

I've done that trip many times - my uncle (bobs brother) works in Canary Wharf and I've got a lift from him on the odd occasion, so have to do DLR to Bank. DLR is pretty bad round there too.

What really grinds my gears is when people jump on the tube/DLR for like one stop. Do they not realise most stations are like 200 yards apart?!

Er no as i live near the Drtford Tunnel, its just a trip up the A13, anywhere closer means M25 / M11 or North circular, plus then i've got to find somewhere to park.

To be honest the DLR is the least crowded cleanest and easiest part of the journey

I have a normal commute of around 1h15m, depending on how the traffic is and who's been careless enough to bash into each other on the M6/M42.  I had the unfortunate moment of no car for a couple of days and was forced onto the public transport.  Took me over three hours, because to get into work on time I had to catch an early train, but the buses don't run then so it's a 3 miles walk.  Trains were stopped mid-station twice and I had to walk between stations to change tracks.  Final local train was ridiculously rammed with suits and the final bus operates a 'correct change' only policy so I had to pay over the odds for that ticket.

Costs me about 10 quid a day to use the car or 13.50 to use public transport which takes over twice the time and is totally inconvenient.  It's not like I live in the sticks...

I'll be sticking to the comfort of my own four wheels, because basically until the roads clog up to the point it takes me over 3 hours to do 45 miles then I'm better off inside my Omega.

A good day will take me 45 minutes to get in from door to door. By car, it takes about the same as long as there are no inconsiderate gits out for a destruction derby. Which, lets face it, is pretty rare on the M25.
