Indeed - I wasn't necessarily thinking of you when I made that comment, Vamps but more the number of people you see driving them as status symbols and boasting how they can "go anywhere" (right up until the point they "go anywhere" into a hedge..) - had a few of those at work last year, mostly in sales

Funny you should mention Series landys - I saw a 110 "pickup" the other day and thought to myself "that would make an awfully practical battle wagon".. shame they only come in two kinds; expensive or rotten!

Series where 88 or 109 inch, then came the 110 and the Defender, and you are right, nothing decent sub £5k.....

I bow to your superior knowledge But yeah - no way I'm spending £5k on something that will get battered & beaten and probably need more welding than the Titanic..

that 110 'pickup' was not any 110 pickup (if it was the v8 on ebay a while ago) that was a stage 1 prototype cobbelled together to be a pick up...mind you 109 are on the endangered list now as very hard too come by!!

Thats rather unfair, the Titanic has not needed welding for 100 years.......a landy would need doing every few years if used!

Im thinking of something  awd for winter funs. maybe another impreza sportswagon wrx, i miss my last one soo much and now they are pretty cheap to abuse.
be interesting to see how my 2.2 omega handles the snow lol no TC for me!  dont really want to be thrashing the alfa around in snow just to get some fags

yes mike bring on the snow
last year my isuzu was excellent,even on road tyres i went up a hill in bacup and the tyres didnt even spin and it was a tad steep and rather deep with the white stuff

Collected the Jeep today, drove it home and spend about half an hour with the handbook sorting things out, gave up with the auto seating and turned it off   When you switch off the engine the seat moves back to help let you out, may have another go tomorrow.....

Very different drive to the Omega, but very light, which suits me, and surprisingly quick, got to watch the 30mph limit, it just goes straight past it where the Omega I had to press the pedal more...

Oh, and it has leather seats, I don't like leather but this leather is so soft and supply, like sitting in your favourite arm chair....

    Well glad you are OK, did you have to come all the way over to North Tees? now that your A&E has closed Dr Harrison is my consultant there, you may have come across him, as he is the top lung chap... So, if I have a proper car does that mean she will make me a coffee sometime?
The Jeepclub is rather quiet compared to OOF.....
