Towbar Electrics
« on: 26 September 2011, 11:31:18 »

Hi i know this has probably been covered on here somewhere but after 2 days of searching i give up.
I have fitted the towbar connected the wiring by chomping into the VX plug in the boot but i have a problem with audio indicator buzzer i fitted. no matter which way i wire this in i cant get it to buzz with the indicators when the trailer is connected. I even bought a new buzzer as i thought this was faulty. Any one out there help before i put the gun to my head. I did call a mobile fitter but they wanted £50.00 just to come out to me. :'(

Why do you want a horrible buzzer fitting?  ;) Remove the 3 pin flasher relay from the fuse/relay box under the steering column & repace it with a 4 pin relay, add a bulb to the dash in the trailer flasher repeater allocated space and hey presto!  :y :y

Cheers Andy. Parts ordered, even with the postage the parts are cheaper from the UK and arrive within 2 days.
Bulb and holder 4.50E and relay 15.75E in France. Total from UK with postage £8.95
