Morning all,

Does anyone know how to clear a possible airlock on an LPG Vapouriser (I think thats what it's called)?

Just had the car serviced including a coolant flush and replenish, but the LPG won't kick in anymore. Been surfing all night looking for possible reasons and this appears to be a possiblity.

Question is, how is it done? I have a StarGas system fitted, if that makes any difference?

a coolant flush should not trigger an air lock, I did mine few weeks ago without issue. Worth checking all connections are correct, check anything not been disturbed.

It really depends how the vapouriser has been mounted. If it's higher than the pipework that feeds it, or there is a high point in the plumbing anywhere an airlock is possible. First things first. Start the engine and see if the pipes to and from the vapouriser are getting hot.

If not, try "burping" the system by squeezing the radiator hoses. This might be enough to dislodge any air.

Failing that, try easing one of the pipes off the vapouriser with the system cold and the expansion tank cap removed but the engine running. Just let a little coolant bleed out and push the pipe back on again.

The vapouriser is high, so will try "burping" the system and see what happens. Cheers guys
