Im pretty sure Ive found the cause of my knocking.The heats shield above the back box has pulled through several of its mounting bolts and is loose, allowing it to knock on the floor.will be an easy enough fix.I may have disturbed it when fitting the back box.
May be worth the OP having a look, to see if its something as simple. :-\

Hi All. I have checked the exhaust and the heat shield, nothing. I have been told it may be the shock absorber and that they are air as I have zenon headlights? I am going to search for either a used part or a none vauxhall make. Any idea's. I have to say that I respect you all for offering me your advice, and thanks

You've been told wrong  ;) Self levelling suspension & self levelling system for the HID headlights are two completely separate systems.  :y :y
