Went to look at it and t is the dogs whatsits, only thing, when it first started there was a loud fast ticking from the top of the engine, this went after about 3 - 4 mins, could it have been the manifold gasket, it was not a tapping noise (cam), it was deffo a ticking.

I could be wrong Pete, but I think the 2.2 suffer from cracked exhaust manifolds.

£130 vx price trade i paid 2yrs ago but they say its better to get a good second hand one as they have warped all they are going to.

second hand one £50 - £75.

if im wrong i am sure the fellas will say something.

Most likely a very minor exhaust blow. The 4 pots do suffer from manifold problems but it's not a big job. As said, use it as a bargaining point, it's easy to put right once you get it home :y

In limbo at the moment, we are thinking of going to Hastings tomorrow to look at the 04 plate miggy its a 2.2 GLS with the full irmscher kit on it, if its no good at least we can have a day in Hastings.

Yup manifold, i looked at one with the same problem, it whent quiet after it warmed up  ::)

well its decided, we are off to see the miggy 04 in hastings tomorrow, 6am start.things we do for a miggy..........cannot afford to not look at it though..and it will be a day out
