I suspect that most of those interested have pikey hooks fitted :-\

Think the single exit bumpers are essentially the same shape as the dual exit ones, only a bit less symetrical :-\

3.2s have twin tailpipes, so should match with the bumpers quite nicely. Single pipe would probably look a bit feeble IMHO.

Much as I really like the idea of the twin exit exhaust (either side) I can't see an easy solution to the pikey hook issue. I'm sure someone could make a bespoke system that would work, but it won't be easy ::)

I don't think the exhausts are part of the plan. But given the number of tow bar configurations, it would have to be a bespoke solution for each car for the one either side exhausts I would have thought. And cutting an Irmscher bumper...ooh that's brave.

Just for info, either side exhaust exit does specify, " not with tow bar"

Believe the conventional exhaust exit bumpers are cheaper are they? and slightly different design?

Except I need somewhere to mount the LPG filler and I'm not cutting the bumper or the bodywork ;)

Plus, I still have need for it as I sometimes need to tow trailers, as you witnessed a month or so back ;)

Do the sensible thing - hide the unsightly filler behind numberplate, and borrow a car from someone when you need a pikey fitting ::)

Shall I point out the obvious flaw in that plan? ::) ::)

Number plate on an Estate is on the Tailgate ;D ;D

And borrowing a motor is great if you aren't on a tight time schedule to get to a party :o Oh... And frighteningly, the run down to drop the trailer back I only managed 15 mpg (on the MID) whereas loaded the RR got around 18.5 IIRC :o :o Mind you... I wasn't hanging about :-X :-X :-[ :-[

Unless, my dear Watson, you have a pre made, Blue Peter style, one I made earlier, template. Ie, your original pre cut bumper, that fits inside the Irmscher one. ;D

But filler in bumper wont work on Estate.

1) Get a proper Omega - a Saloon (prefacelift, obviously)
2) Next time someone asks you to tow something, remember 2 simple words....   ....blank off ::)

We can chat over a curry one day, I'll try to explain difficulties with that. Potential difficulties that is.

I still can't see how they do the twin exit system, as when i look under mine the tank is offset closer to the O/S thus not allowing space for a silencer like on the N/S  ???

Iirc, its effectively a dummy.A pipe runs across behind the bumper (after the silencer) to the other side,so the gasses come out of two pipes.

Just after both pipes come out of the back box the one nearest the o/s turns 90 degrees towards the o/s,runs for about 3 feet and then turns 90 degrees again towards the rear of the car and then comes out from underneath the o/s of the bumper.

Not sure if thats more, or less confusing than the previous post. :D
